The date for 2011 has been confirmed – on the 19th of March 2011, dancers from all over the world will once again rock the floor in Vega, Copenhagen. International eliminations in Germany and USA will be on the 15th of October in New York and on the 12th of February in Cologne. Info about eliminations in other countries will be up soon.

There will be a  Floor Wars pre-party on thursday the 18th at Culture Box, Kronprinsessegade 54 from 23:00 hrs – stop by for cyphering & partying. Admission 20 dkk (3€). Floor Wars afterparty will be in Vega, the venue of the main event, after the finals. The afterparty is situated next to the balcony in the main hall, and starts right after the winners have been announced. Admission is free, if you go directly from the battle to the party.  There will also be an open practise session friday the 19th at Idrætsfabrikken, Valdemarsgade 14, from 19-23 hrs. No admission, everybody can come and practise. There will be no official preparty friday.

The last crew in the Great 8 is Funky Masons from Poland, who won the elimination for Poland, Czech and Slovakia yesterday. Get ready for style and technique on a high level plus a healthy dose of crazyness when Funky Masons enter the warzone in Copenhagen on the 20th March

Judges for the 3 vs 3 eliminations and main battles will be David Colas (France), Nono (Vagabonds/France) and B-boy Buckingham (Flexible Flave/USA)

If you want to be in the elimination or one of the battles, and you haven’t signed up yet, hurry up and do so. There are only a few places left in each category, and new people register every day. If you have registered after a category has been filled up, you will be put on a waiting list. Hustle Kids from Holland have been added to the Great 8 list – this leaves only one open spot, which will be filled by the winning crew of the qualification for polish, czeck and slovakian crews. The qualification will take place on the 20th of february in Katowice, Poland – for info and registration write to  floorwarspoland@gmail.com

Yesterday, TNT won the german elimination for Floor Wars, and will represent Germany on the 20th of March. It has also been confirmed, that TG BREAKERS from Korea will be in the Great 8. Last, but definitely not least, DJ Cosmic from Austria and DJs Panic and Lu Chis’z from Holland will supply the hard battlin’ b-boys with hard hittin’ beats, so watch out….
