Natural Effects winners of Floor Wars 2012!

Natural Effects did it again – the danish b-boy crew took the title as the winners of Floor Wars 2012. 2nd place went to Cay Fusion MC from Korea.

The winners of the battles from friday night were Boris (DK) in 1 vs 1 All Style and Uzee Rock (Ukraine) in the 1 vs 1 b-boy battle. Boris will represent Denmark at the Just For Laughs 1 vs 1 All Style BAttle in Montreal, and Uzee Rock will go to the solo battles at R-16 in Korea. We are looking forward to another night of mind-blowing battle action – see you in Vega!

Floor Wars set for new heights

We are very pleased about the huge amount of registrations from all over the world. In fact, 70 crews have signed up from 30 different countries all around the globe. So we keep the high standards of last year and looking forward to see some amazing battles ahead of us again this year.

Without any main sponsors, this event is truly a b-boy event within the scene and without your support we couldn’t make it happen. So let’s set the marks once again high over the weekend to show all those who can’t make it that it’s a must.

Sign-up closing thursday night

For all dancers who are still undecided about their participation at this years event, you better make your mind up soon as we will close for sign-ups on thursday night (CET). All crews who signed up, will have to register their arrival at the venue before the battles starts (that’d be friday from 19:00 to 20:00 and saturday from 16:00 to 17:00). So make sure to be there in time!

We won’t have a sign-up at the event, only registration for the crews who signed up before hand. This is due to minimize the administrative work on the day and have a better preparation (so no offense please).

Scandinavian G8 for R16 qualfier and (almost) all judges complete

We have been working hard on finalizing the missing pieces of the Floor Wars finals next week and are very happy to announce that we got a Scandinavian great eight for the 1-on-1 R16 qualifier setup. Means that the registered dancers will compete for 8 spots to meet our selection of Scandinavian bboys, with the fine trophy of the winner representing Europe in Korea. The list contains:

Pre-party on friday and after-party on saturday

Friday the 16th, there will be a pre-party at Lille Vega after the battle – same venue as the event. The party begins around 23:00 hrs, and is open for everyone, and there is no extra charge for people with tickets for friday’s battle.

Saturday the 17th, there will be an official after-party at Pumpehuset, Studiestræde 52 – right next to Rådhuspladsen (Central Square). Mid Week Brakes presents: YEAH, BABY! – The hottest after-show party in breakin’ history with live-showcases by DRISS NATION, BARBARA MOLEKO, DJ SCHACK, DJ ONYX, DJ PETER PLUS and more! Doors open at 23:30. Admission 60 DKK – 40 DKK with Floor Wars ticket.

Natural Effects in the Great 8!

The world-famous danish crew Natural Effects are back! Probably the most winning danish b-boy crew so far, Natural Effects have delivered some legendary performances at Floor Wars throughout the years: They have made it to the finals every time they have entered (2006, 2007 & 2008), winning the 1st Prize in 2006. This time around, they will enter with Red Bull BC One winner Neguin from Brazil – and maybe get to the finals for the fourth time!?

The judges for the 3vs3 battle have now been confirmed – the judges for this year’s edition of Floor Wars will be DYZEE (Canada), BUCKINGHAM (USA) and NONO (France). Judges for all other battles will be announced continuously @ Floor Wars 2012
